Construction Of Film Poster

This picture was originally taken outside on of the locations used in the trailer, we particularly chose it because it was a domestic environment meaning the audience could possibly relate to it making it more realistic.

The first stage in editing the photograph was to make the image darker, giving a more dark/isolated feel, this was done by manipulating the brightness and contrast. The next step was to duplicate the image, enlarge, decrease the opacity and place it over the first image representing a 'Ghosting' effect similar to which is shown in the trailer.

The third stage was to add in the hand, which in this case symbolises, Lucy's hand coming towards her, as she is the one who is responsible for the deaths caused. It also has a decreased opacity as our target audience is 15, so mild violence and blood is permitted. Later the logo and tag line were added making it look more professional and easier linked with the trailer.

Finally, after alterations, we decided to include the credits in the poster, again to give a more professional outlook, and also to give credit where it was due. As well as this, we included the BBFC 15 logo to show what age the film is targeted at, from a glance, and did final adjustments to the image darkening the sky and making the images stand out using contrast.
