After researching a number of magazine posters both Total Film and Empire, we chose Total film as it had been launched in 1997 and features a range of full-length interviews with up-and-coming actors along with directors. having said that, it as not as large as Empire, we felt that total film had a more youthful vibe which appeared to focus more on our target age range (15).
This particular magazine cover was the most eye catching for the group and most inspirational as certain elements e.g. the angle of gaze and colour scheme where relevant to our teaser trailer. We also noted the fact that it was simple, with a very strong image almost drawing the reader to pick up the magazine and read it, having such words as 'World Exclusive' and large fonts being underlined.
