I began by taking the image of Shreena/Lucy close up inspired by the Star Trek and ensured that there was an angle of gaze at the reader, the next stage was to remove the piercings and sharpen the image i.e. her eyes, lips and hair. Go through the same process of duplicating, enlarging and reducing the opacity of the image. When that was complete, the colour of the image was enhanced.
In the later stages, Photoshop was used to take the masthead of Total Film, and position it in the same place as the inspirational magazine, real horror film posters where included as a 'Giveaway' in the magazine just as Star Trek using Photoshop again to outline the images making them stand out (keeping to the colour scheme of red, white and black).
Lastly, the masthead was perfected, filling in the blank space in the word 'Total' and added shadow to various words to make them stand out and become easier to read. The title of the film 'Chromosome 17' was placed on the front in order to keep it consistent and allow the reader to associate it with the poster and film/trailer making it recognizable amongst the public.
